AHERA Building Inspection
Are you looking for an asbestos inspection before renovating or demolishing a public building, school, residential or commercial facility? According to the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act, all inspections involving asbestos in schools, public buildings, residential and commercial properties must only be taken and processed by AHERA accredited professionals.
At Specialty Environmental, we are AHERA certified! To learn more, contact us to schedule an AHERA building inspection. We serve Washington and Idaho residents in Lewiston, Kennewick, Spokane and areas nearby.
When is an ahera building inspection needed?
Before any major development is done to a commercial property, school, residential, or public building, an AHERA inspection must be conducted.
Renovations
Before beginning any renovations on a public building, school, residential or commercial property, you must complete an asbestos survey by an AHERA certified inspector. Once the property has been cleared of any asbestos-containing materials, the results must be posted for contractors working within the site.
Demolitions
Before consulting a demolition contractor for a school, public building, or commercial property, you must conduct an AHERA building inspection. Once the survey is complete, the results can be shared with the demolition contractor as well as the team who will be working on the site.
